INNOVATION 1

INAUGURATION OF TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT

In 2015, we established the Technology Development Dept. to develop and introduce new technologies necessary for taking Sanwa to the next level. We want to challenge our current business model and continue to expand our horizons. As the leading company of grease nipple manufacturing, we have repeated technical innovations to supply higher quality products with a more reasonable market price. Also, in the custom processing business, we have made endeavors to provide higher value services through our ceaseless cultivation of new technology fields. We do this by incorporating our long craftsmanship history and the latest equipment, as well as linking up our various contract manufacturers.
The social needs have become varied and irregular, and will become more so increasingly. Our past technical innovations have been mainly based internally (existing technologies and services). But to answer the pressing kinetic needs, we have come to the conclusion that we need to work on a wider variety of technical elements from both inside and outside of Sanwa.
Our Technology Development Dept. is the actualization of such a change. With the whole of the department focused on technical innovation, they work on data collection, trial and introduction of our external technical skills, as well as better utilizing our internal strengths. They are also in charge of the R&D based on the needs of our current and potential customers and social movements. The department also proceeded with the execution and commercialization of the CNC Machining Center Processing Service, which did not exist in Sanwa previously. In the future, we plan to work on the innovation of new products, equipment and manufacturing infrastructures such as IoT.

Establishment of Project Promotion Office

In 2015, we established the Project Promotion Office to work on our tasks more speedily and efficiently with the cross-divisional human resources in Sanwa. Ex.) Education tools for beginner training / Improving safety instructions / Factory layout change and in-house IT & cloud system introduction (In progress).

INNOVATION 3

Efforts to rationalize production

To continue to answer to the ever changing social needs, Sanwa has put its focus on productivity improvement. Ex.) For the machines to be unmanned and be in 24h operation by automatization of grease nipple processing, assembling, and inspection/ 1.3 to 1.5 times higher productivity by introduction of auto-loading machineries and gantry loading machineries.
