Tell us about how you started in the company and your current position.

I decided to apply to Sanwa Metal Industry because I was impressed by the atmosphere, and could see the pleasure and worthwhileness integrity of "manufacturing" which I was seeking to have in my work life.
I am currently in the Engineering Department and the Technical Development Department.
I am in charge of product control and machine part drawings as a member of the Engineering Department, and at the same time in the Technical Development Department I am involved with bringing new technologies and machine ideas to the table.
Previously we outsourced our skills but we are gradually switching to more inhouse capabilities through our specialized departments. We are focused on continually making our designs more understandable and user-friendly for our manufacturing staff. It is a great pleasure to see ideas come to life through these new experiences.

70 years is a turning point in the company,
what future company innovations would you like to be apart of?

We cover a wide range of products. I deal with a variety of subjects, from design to manufacturing operations, but I always look to and learn from my senior workers, how they deal with the work load and who they are as people. My hope for this company is that we can take all that we have learned, both tacitly and explicitly, and pass it onto the next generation.

What kind of people do you want to work with?

Without addressing a specific department, I would love a bunch of highly skilled people to join.
Even though some of us are in the same position, the way we will think and see things will be different.
The chance to get a variety of thinkers together would be a wonderful thing.
In the future, with my co-workers, I hope to create a body of work that last and are remembered in the company.
